She was recognized several times by her students and residents at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai as an outstanding clinical teacher and has been active in all aspects of academic affairs there. She has been President of the Saul B. Gusberg Society, the Queens Gynecology Society, the Shiraz University School of Medical Sciences Alumni Association and the Iranian American Medical Association, and is a member of the American Academy of Medical Directors. Dr. Moshirpur plays a pivotal role in an advisory capacity for the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation. She is highly regarded for her passionate commitment to patient health issues and is a vocal advocate for excellence in medical care. She has been honored by the Queens Health Network for promoting healthcare to the community of Queens, honored by SHAREing and CAREing, a breast cancer support group, by both the City Council and the New York State Assembly, 36th District, for exemplary service to the community for her promotion of women’s health. She was also honored by the American Cancer Society and named Queens “Woman of the Year.” She was honored by “La Asociacion Benefica Cultural Father Billini” for her commitment to their programs in support of the youth in Queens, was named one of the top ten women stars in Queens and was most recently honored by the Iranian American Society. The event will also honor Greg Kelly, cohost of Fox News’s “Good Day New York,” as Best Man of the Year. Queensborough President Melinda Katz will be attending the ceremony as well. “Greg Kelly is one of the most beloved, interesting and powerful newscasters in television,” said TOP WOMEN In Business Networking Awards Dinner Victoria Schneps, publisher and CEO of The Queens Courier. “We are delighted to honor the highest-rated morning TV personality as our Best Man of the Year.” The Leadership in Education Award will be presented to Sharon DeVivo, president of Vaughn College.
