Lanmarc Management Inc. focuses on large commercial properties including shopping centers, cooperatives, high-rise condominiums, universities, restaurants and industrial properties. Marc began his horticultural career at the age of 13 and launched his own business by the age of 18, while attending New York Botanical School of Professional Horticulture. Marc gained a valuable education at school and gained on-the-job training while working on residential properties. Marc branched out into larger types of property from his fi rst account some 18 years ago thanks to Ken Lovett from John B. Lovett & Associates. Lanmarc Management Inc. currently services over 80 accounts throughout Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan. Marc works for large real estate owners including Mattone Group, John B. Lovett & Associates, LeHarve on the Water, Cryder House, Long Island University and the NYC Department of Education. Marc Michalic attributes much of his success to his hardworking staff, his beautiful daughter Sienna and his love, Paula—“I love that woman. I love her more than sharks love blood”—but mostly and with many thanks working with the Mattone Group. Kareem Savinon was named the winner of the Latino Film Festival for his performance in “Liberty Kid. He is also known as “Steve the doorman” in HBO’s “Girls.” This month you can catch him co-starring as Duce Biggalo in “Law & Order: SVU” and Drug Kingpin on “Person Of Interest.” Other fi lms include “Falling Awake,” ”Kiss of Chaos,” “Cookies,” “GWB” and Spike Lee’s “The Girls in Trouble.” Episodics include “Law & Order: SVU,” “Criminal Intent” and “Blue Bloods” as well as numerous commercials. Kareem is also writing TV treatments that represent Latino culture and bring forth change in the entertainment community while becoming a new voice of the Urban Latino. SAVIÑON SANTE Antonelli Director of Business services Queens Economic Development Corporation Sante joined QEDC as a business advisor in 2013 to provide start-ups and established businesses with marketing strategy and fi nancial advice. Currently, he is the director of the Business Services Department. Over the past year, Sante has helped develop QEDC’s iPhone app. He has also helped clients secure loan packages, saved businesses from bankruptcy, and worked closely with entrepreneurs on their business strategy. He is an instructor H H for the Queens StartUP! Business Plan Competition workshops and teaches other classes to aspiring entrepreneurs. Prior to joining QEDC, Sante developed start-ups and provided businessdevelopment advice domestically as well as abroad. Sante immigrated to Queens from Italy in 1986. He earned a BA in applied linguistics from Queens College and an MBA with a dual concentration in marketing and fi nance from Baruch College. H He is an advisory board member of New York Italians. Sante is happy to be part of the amazing community in Woodside, where he enjoys multi-ethnic potluck dinners with friends and 5K neighborhood group runs on weekends.
