Brian was born and raised on Long Island, having grown up in Franklin Square, N.Y., and is a graduate of H. Frank Carey High School. He currently resides with his wife in Whitestone, Queens. Brian began his college education at Nassau Community College, and fi nished by obtaining a bachelor’s degree in communications H from the State University of New York at Albany. Brian’s career in the fi nancial services industry began as an insurance advisor for a small independent insurance agency on Long Island. He spent six years in that role working primarily with local police offi cers and various civil service employees to better plan for their retirement. In February 2010, Brian took his industry experience, and marketing techniques to MetLife. After a successful three-year run at MetLife, Brian chose to take on a new challenge as the market development director for New York Life’s – Long Island General Offi ce. Brian’s main responsibilities in this role are to coach and mentor new advisors, promote the New York Life – Long Island brand, and to build mutually benefi cial relationships with other local companies and nonprofi t organizations. In 2011, Brian was recognized as an “Outstanding Advocate for Children & Youth” after participating as a fundraiser for an event benefi tting the John J. Byrne Community Center in Uniondale. More recently, Brian coordinated a New York Life team volunteer project to assist The Miracle League of Long Island, a nonprofi t organization that provides children with disabilities an opportunity to play baseball. MARZULLO Director of Corporate Real Estate NY Delta Air Lines Ryan Marzullo is a civil engineer with more than 13 years of aviation construction experience, having a background in general and design-build contracting as well as construction management and client representation. He served as the senior project manager responsible for design and construction of the new passenger terminal building at the Greenfi eld King Shaka International Airport in Durban, South Africa, which successfully opened in May 2010. Prior to that he spent six years with Continental Airlines, fi rst as an assistant project manager on the IAH International Services Expansion Program in Houston, Texas and then as a senior manager responsible for design and construction covering all of Continental’s international facilities including Europe, Israel, India, the Caribbean, Canada, Mexico, and Central and South America. Utilizing local personnel and resources in the successful delivery of multiple projects being managed concurrently across several continents, he has dealt with not only the typical challenges encountered on major construction projects, but also the intricacies and variability of working with different governments, airport authorities, stakeholders, systems, cultures, languages, currencies and construction methods and techniques. Ryan began with Delta Air Lines in February 2011 as the deputy program director overseeing construction and systems implementation on the fi rst phase of Delta’s $1.4B Redevelopment Program at JFK International Airport. In June 2013, Ryan was promoted to program director responsible for the next phases of the JFK Redevelopment program, including the demolition of Terminal 3 and an 11-gate Regional Jet extension at Terminal 4. Recently Ryan has taken on the responsibility of overseeing all of Delta’s design, construction and facilities maintenance for JFK, La Guardia and Newark airports. Dr. Uchechukwu MEGWALU Director of Service; Department of Otolaryngology Queens Hospital Center Dr. Megwalu was born in Ottawa, Canada. He received his undergraduate degree from McMaster University in Canada, and he attended medical school at Washington University in St. Louis. He received his otolaryngology—head and neck surgery training at New York Eye and Ear Infi rmary. He received his master of public health degree at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He is currently an assistant professor at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, and the director of otolaryngology at Queens Hospital Center. H RYAN
