4 North Shore Towers Courier n November 2013 Phyllis and Ron Levin Daisy Dennenberg + Alex Samuels, Secretary Men’s Club garnering members The North Shore Towers’ Men’s Club is going strong. The group, formed in September, has already brought in close to 80 members. The club held a brunch on October 13 that was attended by 83 people, 53 of which were men. Members ate for free and guests paid a minimal charge. Club President Al Fuchs introduced club officers: Toby Horowitz and Paul Nettler as Vice Presidents, Alex Samuels and Arthur Rose as Secretaries and Leo Tujak as Treasurer. Dan Broad, Charlie Hoffman, Arnie Rabinowitz, Artie Rose and Gary Zwetchkenbaum were announced as part of the Steering/Entertainment committee and Asher Pachinsky as the Sergeant at Arms. Jerry Gilbert was recently chosen as the communications liason for the group. Club members then proceeded to introduce themselves and get to know one another while enjoying brunch in the VIP Room. Coming up for the Men’s Club will be the creation of club charter and various events. Members were asked to vote on potential events, including trips to Mohegan Sun and Atlantic City, a boat ride around Manhattan, bowling, billiards, paintball, attending a television show filming, inviting speakers, visiting wine country on the East End of Long Island, going to a comedy club, Queens Borough Community College theater and events, or a Las Vegas Night. A trip to see the Brooklyn Nets play the Boston Celtics is planned for December. The Men’s Club next meeting is November 18. Annual dues are $60.
