Oh, What A Night!
White makes such an elegant
table setting!
A votre santé!
Bon soir, mes amis!
How do you say ‘high five’ in French?
HOW DID THIS
PHENOMENON CALLED
“DINER EN BLANC” BEGIN?
In 1988, a Frenchman
named Francois Pasquier
invited a group of his
friends to an outdoor
dinner at night in the
beautiful Parisian park
called Bois de Boulogne and
asked them to wear white,
only white, so that they
could find one another. And
since this was a park and
not a restaurant, everyone
had to bring their own food.
Now this annual gathering
has taken on a life of its
own...it now spans six
continents in more than
85 cities all over the world.
Yes, "Diner en Blanc" is all
the rage!
Did you know…Diner en
Blanc tradition dictates
that only a select group are
privy to the location of the
dinner on the day of the
event…and so it is here…at
North Shore Towers!!!
A bientot!
Diner en Blanc 2019

The time: Labor Day, Sept. 2,
2019, 6:30pm
The place: North Shore Towers’
VIP Room
The event? Diner en Blanc!
NST’s third annual Diner en
Blanc was underway when all 118
guests walked in, each dressed in
white.
White surroundings...tables,
chairs, dishes, center pieces, all
provided by the Country Club
(as well as a glass of prosecco.).
Music by everyone's favorite DJ,
Lynn. Singles and couples of all
ages cavorting on the dance floor,
having a grand time!
And then down to basics...
FOOD! What you (and your
group) wanted, you provided.
Some groups cooked up a storm,
others had hero sandwiches, while
others had a catered affair from
Moonstone, Iavarone, the Persian
Grill, or other local restaurants.
Why, tell me why, this event
is an immediate sell-out? Why
are there never any complaints?
Could it be??? The food is when
you want it, how you want it, and
enjoying it with those you want
to share it with! And when the
evening is over, you may be lucky
enough to have leftover food for
a get together the following night
(in the garden above the diving
pool). And all you felt all evening
was a Sea of Love!
Plan your white attire for next
Labor Day, Sept. 7, 2020...see you
then!
