Since Aksari and his team took over in 2007, the store has nearly doubled in merchandise and services. Aksari credits this with establishing good relationships with wholesalers, and in turn they are able to acquire all of the merchandise that they provide now. “Another thing that has helped us expand is the excellent personnel,” said Aksari. “Everything is accomplishable, whatever residents need, we are able to provide for them.” Along with having all of the items a chain drug store has, such as beauty A ONE-STOP SHOP products and toiletries, Towers Drugs provides discounted greeting cards, gift-wrapped items, walkers and canes, DVDs, travel-size items and lottery tickets. Along with providing these essential items, Aksari and his staff also pride themselves on the ability to get any item, same-day delivery. “If you order something at 12:30, we can get it to your door by 3:30,” said Aksari, who also said that something as off-the-wall as a bed could be delivered within hours. Prescriptions are also filled daily, and the drug store’s delivery service allows residents to order something over the phone, and then have it delivered to their door. The store also provides and bills Medicare. Open seven days a week at varying hours, Towers Drugs makes it easy for residents to get what they need, when they need it.
