The foul weather didn’t stop the Hort team from planting summer fl ora on Roberto Clemente
Plaza. Each season the plaza receives new plantings to create an oasis away from the
Bronx’s busiest commercial district where we see 275,000 pedestrians daily.

Third Avenue Business Improvement District joined a city-wide coalition of business organizations
to discuss, collect data and advocate for smart solutions to address the growing
number of city wide quality of life challenges that are causing businesses to shutter
throughout the Bronx.

SALSA ON THE PLAZA!
The steamy heat didn’t stop Salsa on the Plaza! Dancing to
the live music of Luisito and Orchestra, attendees put on
their dancing shoes and danced the night away.
Residents had fun dancing in the summer heat.

Councilman Mark Gjonaj thanked local law enforcement for
ticketing illegally parked tractor trailers.
