BOLLYWOOD CELEBRATED AT THE BRONX ZOO
The eighth annual Bollywood in the Bronx was celebrated for the fi rst time at the Bronx Zoo where over 200 guests joined in the evening celebrating both Caribbean Heritage and Pride
Month. Senators Alessandra Biaggi and Luis Sepulveda, Assembly members Karines Reyes and Nathalia Fernandez and Councilman Mark Gjonaj all co-sponsored the event where seven
leading individuals were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the borough and NYC and the program included Bollywood Dancers, a Drag Queen Performance, Belly Dancing,
Tassa Drummers and a live Steel Drum Artist.

Oldtimer’s Day, located in and outside of
Agnes Haywood Playground, on the occasion
of Henderson’s role in the fi rst celebration.
