On Thursday, February 27, Councilwoman Vanessa Gibson, in partnership with the New York
Botanical Garden, hosted a Black History Month celebration which honored Bronx Distict 16
NYCHA Tenant Association presidents and community gardeners.

‘SERVE-A-THON’
St. Benedict School hosted its Shoot-a-Thon
and Serve—aThon on Thursday, March 5,
which featured over 20 of the school’s athletes
who shot free throws and served volleyballs
for the event. Each free throw made
and inbound serve resulted in a donation.
