BP Diaz hosts annual Women’s History Month celebration
Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. hosted his annual Women’s History Month celebration at the Morris Yacht & Beach Club on Thursday, March 5. The event celebrated
the 100th anniversary of the ratifi cation of the 19th amendment to the U.S. Constitution which granted American women the right to vote. Moderated by
Spectrum NY1 anchor Kristen Shaughnessy, the event honored Fatima Shama, executive director of the Fresh Air Fund, Noelle Santos, founder of the Lit. Bar and
Erin Lee, president of the Women of Woodlawn.
