BP DIAZ HOSTS MLK DAY EVENT
Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. hosted an interfaith service honoring the legacy of the
Reverend Dr. Martin Luther, Jr. in conjuction with the Trinity Baptist Church on Monday, January
20. Speakers at the event included U.S. Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer, Assemblyman
Carl Heastie, Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark and Congressman Eliot Engel.

SALAMANCA VISITS P.S. 333
Councilman Rafael Salamanca joined local elected offi cials and community partners on
Southern Boulevard and Aldus Street for a humanitarian relief drive in support of Puerto
Rico. Hundreds of volunteers and residents fl ooded the streets collecting water, pampers,
canned goods, fi rst aid kids and toiletries to send to impacted areas of the island following
the earthquakes.
