Con Edison names new SVP and general counsel

Deneen Donnley has been named
as the new senior vice president and
general counsel of the Consolidated
Edison Company of New York.
Donnley succeeds Elizabeth Moore,
who retired at the end of December.
Donnley comes to Con Edison after
nine years at the USAA in San
Antonio. During the last four years,
she served as the corporation’s executive
vice president, chief legal offi -
cer, and corporate secretary; for the
previous fi ve years, she was senior
vice president, general counsel and
secretary of USAA’s federal savings
bank. Between 2000 and 2010, Donnley
was an SVP, general counsel, and
secretary at ING Direct USA, managing
legal and compliance matters for
the ING Direct bank and its subsidiaries
in Wilmington, Delaware.
Donnley’s legal experience also
includes six years as a staff attorney
for the Federal Reserve in Washington
as well as two years at a Wilmington
law fi rm. She also was a budget
analyst for the City of New York
for two years. She earned a J.D. from
Fordham University and also holds
a Bachelor of Science degree in economics
from the Wharton School
at the University of Pennsylvania,
and has received numerous awards,
including an Outstanding Lawyer
Award from the San Antonio Business
Journal and the Pursuit of Excellence
Award from the Delaware
Valley chapter of the Association of
Corporate Counsel, among others.

workshops to low income residents

families and individuals while the
‘Financial Literacy for Teens’ series
is catered towards 16-19 year olds.

Bideawee, one of the country’s
oldest and most respected animal
welfare and pet adoption organizations,
announced the recent hiring of
John Bartlett as director of Adoption
Experience and Desirae Cambrelen
as banager of Behavior and Training.
Bartlett and Cambrelen will assist
Bideawee in its mission of rescuing,
caring for, and successfully
integrating homeless dogs and cats
and into loving homes.
Bartlett, a rescue advocate, avid
animal lover, and award-winning
fashion designer will oversee the
adoption experience at Bideawee’s
Manhattan and Westhampton adoption
centers, and all mobile adoption
events. He will work with staff to develop
and maintain a positive adoption
experience that matches even
more pets with their forever families.
Cambrelen, an Applied Animal
Behaviorist and Fear Free Certifi
ed Professional, will split her time
among Bideawee’s Manhattan, Westhampton
and Wantagh locations
working with animals that require
some additional assistance in modifying
behavior problems. She will oversee
canine behavior assessments; behavior
modifi cation for dogs and cats
experiencing issues related to fear,
sensitivity to handling, and leash
walking; and post-adoption consultations
for Bideawee alumni experiencing
problems in the home.
After years of doing behavioral
ecology research, Cambrelen pursued
a more hands-on way to apply behavior
knowledge leading her to the Behavioral
Husbandry department at
the Bronx Zoo where she assisted with
the research and behavioral modifi cation
of exotic species. She also worked
on the Anti-Cruelty Behavior Team
at the ASPCA with animals seized in
various cases of cruelty and neglect
throughout the country, namely dogfi
ghting and hoarding. Cambrelen is a
resident of Riverdale.

Fund (CDF), the Department of Cultural
Affairs’ annual grant program
for non-profi t cultural organizations,
is currently accepting applications
for Fiscal Year 2021 grants.Through
the CDF process, the agency supports
for programming at a vast array of
organizations refl ecting New York’s
extraordinary cultural breadth. Last
year, we awarded $51.3 million to
nearly 1,000 organizations across all
fi ve boroughs.
Materials for the next round of
funding must be received by 11:59
p.m. on Tuesday, February 18. The
fi rst step for interested organizations
is to read the CDF guidelines, downloadable
from the CDF applicant information
