On Sunday, November 24, Borough President
Ruben Diaz, Jr. and AT&T co-hosted a celebration
at Tosca Marquee for the Grand Slam Little
League and Bronxchester Realtors, who
each participated in this year’s ninth annual
‘Borough President’s Cup’ youth baseball
tournament. This year’s game, played in Yankee
Stadium, ended in a tie and both teams
were awarded fi rst place trophies.

On Saturday, October 5, non-profi t humanitarian organization Islamic Relief USA held its annual ‘Day of Dignity’ at Union Reformed Church, 1272 Ogden Avenue, for the New York City
portion of their national campaign. The ‘Day of Dignity’ campaign provides homeless and low-income individuals and families with food, clothing and health care. The event was held with
partner organization Muslim Women’s Institute for Research and Development.
