Throggs Neck Residents Council president Monique Johnson
held a turkey giveaway for the residents of the Throggs Neck
Houses on Tuesday, November 19. The turkeys were donated
by Councilman Mark Gjonaj to be given out to the residents.

Supermarket store C-Town, in collaboration with St. Barnabas
Hospital, helped WIC residents shop smarter and more
effectively at a recent outing at C-Town on Crescent Avenue.
WIC is a federally subsidized special supplemental nutrition
program for women, infants and children. SBH’s WIC program
has 6,600 enrolled members in the south and central
Bronx. C-Town also provided turkeys to those families who
spent $100 or more at the outing.

DC9 HOSTS TERI MUROFF-MEYER FOOD DRIVE
District Council 9 hosted their seventh annual ‘Teri Muroff-Meyer Food Drive’ on Friday, November 22. This year, DC9 donated
nearly $4,000 in food products to Grace Episcopal Church West Farms Food Pantry and a total of $6,500 in food
products to communities across the state.
