P.S. 106 hosted a ‘National Young Readers Day’ event on Tuesday, November 12, which was attended by Senator Luis Sepulveda. The event encouraged and taught student to be engaged,
inspired, develop an eagerness to learn and become avid readers.

SENATOR BAILEY HOLDS TURKEY GIVEAWAY
Senator Jamaal Bailey hosted a turkey giveaway outside his district offi ce on Thursday, November 26 for the Thanksgiving holiday. Bailey, along with the assistance of CCA Metro
Carpenter’s Union and other organizations, gave away more than 150 turkeys to the community. Senator Bailey’s offi ce also provided families with free gloves, hats and scarves for the
upcoming winter months.

Beth Abraham Center hosted their fi rst annual ‘Friends &
Family Thanksgiving Style Luncheon’ event on Sunday, November
24. Families and friends of more than 50 Beth Abraham
residents enjoyed a Thanksgiving lunch which included
turkey, stuffi ng, cranberry sauce, vegetables and mashed
potatoes. For dessert, residents and their loved ones enjoyed
either pecan, pumpkin or apple pie. The event also
featured dancing and upbeat R&B music.
Beth Abraham residents, family members and friends enjoyed
