The Courtyard offers a happy hour during
the week from 4 to 7 p.m. You can get signature
cocktails and wine for just $8, Pacificos
for $5 and a bucket of Montauk beer for $25.
“Personally, I really like the traditional lamb
pita with super flavorful, tender meat served
on a fluffy, fresh pita. The cocktail PF Spritz
is refreshing and perfect for cooling down
on hot summer days,” Merchant said.
No matter what your liquor or flavor preferences
are, you will be sure to find something
you can sip on all night. The crowd favorite
seems to be the PF Spritz containing strawberry
Aperol, Pama pomegranate liqueur and
sparkling wine. However, the frosty Frosé practically
tastes and looks like summer in a glass.
There is also the Summer Negroni, a mix of
campari, sweet vermouth and sparkling wine.
If the atmosphere, sweet drinks, deals
and delicious Greek bites don’t bring you
down to The Courtyard, then maybe the
weekly music will. Every Saturday starting
at 7 p.m., local musicians play on the patio
as part of The Courtyard’s Summer Saturdays
series. One week they had bass player
and ethnomusicologist, Noah Garabedian,
make the guests swoon with his jazz tunes.
The Courtyard is evidence of how much
a space can bring friends and neighbors
together in a social setting that doesn’t
put on the pressures of a typical indoor
bar or venue. The space is open, welcoming
and the staff has relaxation and hospitality
down to a science. Everything feels
lighter and easy at The Courtyard — just
like a vacation.
“We hope to make The Courtyard a mainstay
of our summer program for years to
come — though, as with everything we do,
it is bound to evolve with the community we
build here,” Merchant said.
