It’s finally spring, and western Queens

for Bordahan Embroidery, an online business
that empowers disadvantaged women (page
14). A local yoga instructor is bringing Astoria
residents and others on yoga retreats both near
and far (page 20). An LIC woman bakes and
sells deliciously unique treats (page 36). You’ve
seen the work of this Astoria interior designer at
Gigi Salon and DiWine; now, take a peek into
her own apartment (page 42). And a trainer at
Astoria’s CrossFit Dynamix created a homecooked
paleo meal delivery company (page 48).
