in total, depending on the volume of
orders they receive. The two business
owners create designs together, and Kim
brings trunks full of merchandise to Choi
 in Astoria whenever she visits.
“Every item is handcrafted in the
Philippines, and when my mom comes
to visit annually, she brings me suitcases
full of product. She gets so excited to
show me what the team of ladies have
made, that she sometimes forgets to pack
clothes for herself during her trips to New
 York,” Choi said.
 Not only does Bordahan benefit
women and their families abroad, but
Choi and Kim also spread goodwill to

donating a portion of the sales to the
 American Red Cross.
“It made sense to spread our core
mission of helping women to my home
as well,” Choi said. “It’s not much, but
knowing that a portion of our sales go
toward the Red Cross (for the California
bag) or for WIN (for the NYC bag), it
means a lot to be able to contribute
 toward causes closer to home.”
The curation of products for specific
