DELTA’S DAY OF HOPE
 TEAMS WALK FOR A CURE
 AIRPORT VOICE, JUNE 2019 5
 BY JEFF YAPALATER
 Delta Air Lines and Terminal
 4 JFKIAT joined Relay
 for Life with the Delta
Day of Hope on May 15th.
 Delta has held this event
at T4 over the years bringing
 the airport community
 and travelers together to
 raise money and awareness
 for the fight against cancer.
 Many teams from the airport
 with over a hundred
 people participated at Terminal
4 to walk with 25 table
 vendors raising money for
 cancer.org.
 The Relay For Life movement
 is American Cancer
 Society’s signature fund
 raiser dedicated to helping
 communities attack cancer.
It is a grass roots, community
 based team event.
 From team members to volunteers,
  they all want to remember
 those they have
 lost, help those affected today,
  and give a home team
 advantage against cancer.
 Through funds donated, time
 given, or awareness raised,
 local communities are teaming
 up to make a difference.
As they say, “When we rally
 together in the fight against
 cancer through this fun and
 inspirational event, we can
 accomplish anything.”
 Delta sponsored the event
 partnering with T4. Local
 supporters including ABM,
 Airway, AVS,Corporate Loss
