Sadiqa Codrington-Croskey is the president
and CEO of Satisfaction Support Services Enterprise
Inc., a company that is a solutions marketing
and professional services consulting group which
works with non-profit and faith-based organizations
as well as public and private sectors.
Codrington-Croskey hadn’t initially planned
for a career in the aviation industry. She earned
her bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University
where she majored in management information
technology and women’s studies and minored in
accounting, law and public policy. “What got me
interested was my passion and determination for
community empowerment and economic development,”
said Codrington-Croskey. “Growing up
next to JFK airport in Southeast Jamaica Queens,
the aviation Industry were not knocking at my or
my neighbor’s door back then. The only things I
can honestly remember were the huge planes flying
over our homes and big noisy trucks barreling
through our streets.”
Codrington-Croskey is on the board of directors
and serves on the executive committee for GatewayJFK,
a partnership with the Business Improvement
District.
“Growing up, I was oblivious to the notion of
billions of dollars being transported in and out of
our communities,” said Codrington-Croskey, “nor
was I aware of the opportunities available to those
who took interests in airplanes, air cargo-- import
and export of goods and services. Today, we can see
that it is an enormous environment of entrepreneurial
endeavors for business ventures and opportunities.”
“No one person can be successful by themselves,”
said Codrington-Croskey. “It takes support
from a great network, support team and community
of family and friends in addition to having integrity
and character to strive for being and becoming the
best you possibly can be. Owning my own business
has afforded me that opportunity to position myself
for great success, especially in today’s current economic
and political environment.”
