The Port Authority marked its 100th Birthday on Friday April 30, 2021. At its downtown
property, the Port Board of Commissioners with its Executive Director and employees of the
Port celebrated with the enshrining of the 66 memento-filled Time Capsule covered for the
next 100 years by a commemorative engraved plaque. The festivities included remarks by
Chairman O'Toole, Vice-Chair Jeffrey Lynford and Executive Director Rick Cotton. They all
recognized the hard work by employees that has created iconic public infrastructure delivering
on the vision of the PANYNJ to create a transportation complex that has served the public
for 100 years and planning to continue world class services for another 100.

Momento time capsure items. A strand of the WTC cable was included with
medallions heralding the opening of the George Washington Bridge and Midtown
Bus Terminal, pins and patches, tokens and ticket books.
