Ana Lemos has enjoyed a career in aviation
since she took her first job when she was
18-years old and continues to enjoy the industry
and all it has to offer.
Lemos has had a lifelong career in the
aviation industry, from working in Rio De
Janeiro to the United States, her positive
outlook has played a big role in her success
today. From her day to day role as a station
manager, to her contributions to Kennedy
Airport Airlines Management Council,
Lemos’ passion for the aviation industry is
also about the people who she works with.
For Lemos’ the ability to meet others
through her work in the aviation industry is
about forming bonds and working hard as a
team.
“I enjoy having the opportunity to meet
people from all over and learn their culture,
said Lemos. “More specifically, working in
airport operations contributes to people’s
dreams and achievements.”
Lemos’ introduction into the aviation industry
was from her first job when she was
18-years-old, working as a cargo reservations
agent at Varig Brazilian Airlines in Rio de Janeiro,
where she was born and raised. She enjoyed
the opportunity to meet new people and
travel to different parts of the world. Years
later, she moved to New York for a promotion
within the company and continued to move
up in her career until she decided to work for

Lemos’ is also the president of the Kennedy
Airport Airlines Management Council, which
is a program that serves the mission of working
with airport authorities in order to promote the
advancement of air transportation, along with
working with passenger and cargo carriers at
JFK airport. Lemos’ was voted to the role of president
for her involvement and great personality
in working with others.
Her unwavering confidence serves as a model
for anyone trying to be successful in aviation or
in any other field.
“I believe that in this industry or any other,”
said Lemos, “We have to show our capabilities
and talent and use our ability to be strong when
necessary and composed when required. “
