 E-commerce,  E-partnerships  and  Evolving

 JFK Air Cargo Expo. Head of Digital &  
 Distribution  at  Virgin  Atlantic  Cargo,  
 Suzy Wardle was the keynote speaker  
 and talked about the ”E” change in air  
 cargo business. 
 “We are going back to the beginning,  
 redesigning everything, “she said of Virgin  
 Cargo. “We are reimagining how we  
 were  in  technology  and  infrastructure  
 and now we are making digital changes  
 out of necessity from what customers and  
 partners are asking us to do. “ She added. 
 Wardle  said  that  they  are  making  
 changes to “E” business through both  
 brick & mortar and digital. Said Wardle,  
 “ We are moving into larger facilities in  
 Heathrow, doubling our footprint, Delta  
 is coming in and that will help forwarders, 
  automation, and trucking as we roll  
 this out to our network.” 
 She said, “A lot is changing from the  
 way we have been using EDI messaging  
 before the internet, now we want to move  
 to API’s which are more internet friendly  
 and a lot easier t work with.”

 Breaking ground for Amex Lounge 
 American  Express  and  
 JFK Terminal 4 held a special  
 groundbreaking  ceremony  
 to celebrate what will be the  
 world’s largest Centurion  
 Lounge, set to open in 2020. 
 During  the  ceremony,  
 guests  were  taken  to  the  
 airfi eld and into the Centurion  
 Lounge  construction  site  for  
 an  offi cial  groundbreaking  
 moment with Chris Cracchiolo,  
 SVP, Global Loyalty & Benefi ts  
 at  American  Express,  Roel  
 Huinink,  the  President  and  
 CEO of JFKIAT (the company  
 which operates Terminal 4),  
 and Huntley Lawrence, the  
 Director  of  Aviation  at  Port  
 Authority of New York and  
 New Jersey. 
 Following the ceremony,  
 Alexander Lee, VP, Global  
 Benefi ts and Services at  
 American  Express,  offered  a  
 tour inside of the soon-to-be  
 lounge space. To conclude the  
 ceremony,  guests  gathered  in  
 the terminal for NYC-inspired  
 light bites and refreshments.

 Roel Huinink, the President  
 and CEO of JFKIAT, said “As  
 the international gateway to

 travelers each year,” said Roel  
 Huinink.  “The  Centurion  
 Lounge is a perfect match for  
 our passengers who already  
 expect premium service and  
 experiences when they travel  
 out of Terminal 4, and we  
 are very excited about this  
 partnership.”

 Terminal 4 for its largest  
 Centurion  Lounge  yet,”
