According to authorities, the break-ins occurred during daytime hours on Aug. 26 at a building on 74th Avenue and 64th Place. The suspect — a man with a dark complexion wearing a red and black T-shirt and carrying a plastic bag — entered two apartments and removed jewelry before fleeing the scene. Anyone with information regarding the suspect’s whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS. 106th Precinct Ozone Park, Howard Beach Video released of suspect in South Ozone Park shooting Police have released a video of the suspect wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a 27-year-old last weekend. At about 8:28 p.m. on Oct. 4, police responded to an assault in front of a location on 120th Street in South Ozone Park. Upon arriving, officers found Vickiram Ramlogan — who lives on the block — shot in the head and neck while he sat inside a 2005 Toyota. Emergency personnel responded and pronounced Ramlogan dead at the scene. On Oct. 7, police released a video of a man they say is wanted in connection to Ramlogan’s death. In the video, the suspect is seen exiting a U-Haul van wearing a hoodie and holding an object in his hand as he walks into the street. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The man who caused an MTA bus to crash at high speed into two parked cars and a metal fence in Springfield Gardens last weekend was charged this week with allegedly having bags full of cocaine on him during his wild ride. Chevon Parchment, 24, of Elmont, Long Island was driving a 2015 Chrysler at Baisley Boulevard and 153rd Street after 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 3, when police attempted to stop him for not wearing a seat belt. Police activated their lights and sirens but Parchment fled the scene and failed to stop at three stoplights and a stop sign, authorities said. When he failed to stop at a red light on South Conduit Avenue, his car was struck by an MTA bus, which then hit multiple parked vehicles, a metal fence and stopped near the side of a two-story house on Meadow Road. According to prosecutors, Parchment was receiving medical attention at the scene, which required EMS to cut his clothing, when police noticed that a plastic bag containing 64 small Ziploc bags of cocaine were laying on top of his boxers. Each small bag contained 1/8th of an ounce of cocaine. “What allegedly began as a traffic stop for driving without a seatbelt quickly escalated when the defendant attempted to avoid being stopped by the police,” Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown said. “As a result of his alleged reckless actions, the defendant put the lives of pedestrians, bus passengers, the police – and himself – needlessly at risk.” Parchment was charged on Oct. 7 with third- and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment of property and various traffic violations. His bail was set at $10,000 and Parchment was ordered to return to court on Oct. 21. If convicted, Parchment faces up to nine years in prison. A 19-year-old South Ozone Park man was arrested and charged as the second suspect involved in the murder of 70-yearold Leta Webb earlier this year, according to police. Sahel Green was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon on Oct. 8 in connection to Webb’s death. On March 31 at 1:30 a.m. police responded to a 911 call of a woman shot inside of 152-22 119th Ave. in Jamaica. Upon arriving, officers found Webb with a gunshot wound to the head and to the left arm. Emergency personnel transported Webb to Jamaica Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. It was later revealed that Webb was shot after answering a knock at her door. She reportedly was not the intended target of the shooting. After a reward of $2,000 was offered for any information leading to the arrest of Webb’s killer, in April police arrested and charged Julian Douglas, 22, of Richmond Hill with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
