The Alley Pond Environmental Center
will be hosting another Toddler Tales
class from 10:30 a.m. to noon. The
jam-packed morning event will be
perfect for little ones aged 3 to 4 years
old with parent participation. Parents
can join in with their toddlers as they
make crafts, go on nature walks and
read the classic Dr. Seuss book “Ten
Apples Up On Top.” There will also
be opportunities to interact with animals
at the environmental center. The
weekend class is located at the Alley
Pond Environmental Center at 228-
06 Northern Blvd. The tuition price
for the class is $15 for members and
$21 for non-members. Bring the colorful
world of Dr. Seuss to a new generation
of young learners. Tickets can

9 Be transported through
time by acclaimed American
folk music. The Queensborough
Performing Arts Center will be putting
on a concert called “The Lonesome
Traveler: The Roots of American Folk
Music.” This experience spans from
the 1920s all the way up to 1970s,
playing hits from famous folk musicians
such as Woody Guthrie and
Bob Dylan. This musical turned concert
takes place at 3 p.m. with guest
star Noel Paul Stookey, a legendary
member of “Peter, Paul and Mary.”
The performance is located at 222-
05 Sixth Ave. on the Queensborough
Community college campus. Ticket

10 Lose yourself in a nearby
corn maze. The puzzle filled
adventure takes you across 3 acres of
farmland. The Amazing Maize Maze
is open and ready for business at the
Queens County Farm. The maze will
be open from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.,
with the last ticket being sold at 4:30
p.m. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $5
for children and free for kids 3 years
and under. The event takes place at
