Cops seek suspect in
crash & robbery
Police continue to search for a man who
was involved in a car crash that turned
into a robbery in Queens Village.
According to police, on Aug. 23 a man
was involved in a vehicle collision at
the corner of 209th Street and Hillside
Avenue.
Following the collision, authorities said,
two men in the other car approached the
victim’s car, punched him in the face and
took an undetermined amount of cash
from the victim’s car before fl eeing the
scene.
One of the suspects, who has been identifi
ed as 21-year-old Ernest Ductan, was
arrested on Sept. 6 and charged with robbery.
Th e other suspect remains at large.

image of the suspect.

Flushing
Trio wanted for
knifepoint robbery
Cops are looking for a trio of crooks
who robbed a man at knifepoint in
Flushing early Th ursday morning.
According to police, at 1:50 a.m. on
Sept. 6, a 32-year-old man was in the
basement stairwell of Hawaii Relax Spa,
located at 149-50 Northern Blvd., when
he was approached by three unknown
men who demanded money from him.
Law enforcement sources said that one
of the men displayed a butcher knife
while the other two forcibly removed
the victim’s wallet, which contained $100
in cash, and his backpack, which had a
MacBook Air laptop, Beats headphones
and a Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus cellphone
inside.
Authorities said the crooks then fl ed
westbound on Northern Boulevard.
Offi cers from the 109th Precinct
responded to the incident; no injuries
were reported.
Police described the three suspects as
Hispanic men between the ages of 16 and
19 and weighing about 160 pounds.
Th e fi rst suspect, who was sporting a
mustache, goatee and close cut dark hair,
with a light complexion and standing 5
feet, 6 inches tall, was last seen wearing a
grey hooded sweatshirt and an earring in
his left ear.
Th e second perpetrator, described as
having curly short dark hair, with a light
complexion and standing 5 feet, 7 inches
tall, was last seen wearing a black Nike
jogging jacket, light-colored jeans and
white sneakers.
Finally, the third bandit, described as
having a long black Afro, with a medium
complexion and standing 5 feet, 7 inches
tall, was last seen wearing an earring in his
left ear, a red Nike Air hooded sweatshirt,
black shorts and black sneakers.

Astoria
Note-passing thief robs bank
Cops are looking for a note-passing
thief that took off with a small fortune
from an Astoria bank last week.
According to police, at 10:40 a.m. on
Sept. 8, an unknown man walked into
Alma Bank, located at 41-02 Broadway,
and approached the counter. He proceeded
to pass a note which demanded money
to the teller.
Law enforcement sources said the teller
complied and handed over $3,000 in cash.
Th e crook then fl ed the scene on foot eastbound
on Broadway towards 42nd Street.
Cops described the suspect as a
Hispanic man with a light complexion,
brown eyes, a slim build, standing 5 feet,
8 inches tall and between the ages of 30 to
40 years old. He was last seen wearing a
blue polo, blues jeans, black shoes and a
black baseball hat.

Corona and Jackson Heights
Bus masturbator
caught on camera
Police need the public’s help in fi nding
the pervert who decided to pleasure
himself while riding the bus in Jackson
Heights.
According to police, at 9:30 a.m. on
Sept. 6, a 25-year-old female victim was
riding the Q47 bus when an unknown
man boarded the bus at 74th Street and
Roosevelt Avenue. Aft er the man sat
down, authorities said, he proceeded to
masturbate in front of her.
Th e victim then confronted the suspect,
who left the bus shortly aft er the exchange
and fl ed to parts unknown.
On Monday, the 115th Precinct tweeted
out a photo of the suspect.

Another pedestrian killed
on Northern Blvd.
A 70-year-old man died early on the
morning of Sunday, Sept. 9, aft er being
struck by a SUV while attempting to
cross Northern Boulevard in Corona,
police reported.
Law enforcement sources said the
incident occurred just before 5:20 a.m.
on Sept. 9 at the corner of Northern
Boulevard and 108th Street.
According to police, the unidentifi
ed man was walking within the designated
crosswalk when he was hit by a
Toyota Highlander traveling eastbound
on the boulevard. Th e driver, a 40-yearold
woman, stopped the vehicle and
remained at the scene.
Offi cers from the 115th Precinct and
EMS units responded to the incident.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead
at the scene; he had suff ered severe trauma
to his head and body. Police did
not disclose his identity, pending family
notifi cation.
No charges have been fi led against the
driver at this time. Th e NYPD Highway
Patrol Collision Investigation Squad is
continuing to look into the case.
Northern Boulevard has seen plenty
of deadly vehicular incidents involving
pedestrians in recent months. In April,
for example, a 9-year-old boy was fatally
struck by a hit-and-run driver on the
boulevard near the Woodside/Jackson
Heights border, prompting renewed
calls for safety improvements along the
roadway.
