Maureen E. Walthers was a most
extraordinary person, starting as
a newspaper reporter, in a business
mostly dominated by males. She worked
her way up to be owner and publisher of the
Paper. Her editorials were a must read in the greater
Ridgewood area for many years. She was a great friend of all the
volunteer organizations in the neighborhood, always making
sure she covered all their endeavors. My father and | were very
proud to represent her and the newspaper for many years, as
their Attorneys, but we were most proud to have the privilege of
calling her our friend.
