Onderdonk & Sons is located at 566 Onderdonk Ave. Friday, Aug. 26 Yoga: Ridgewood Friday Night Community Flow Get energized for the weekend by joining a community flow at Ridgewood Yoga Studio. All levels of student are welcome, so whether you know your asanas or don’t know what an “asana” is, you will become a warrior! The class is donation-based and takes place from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 16-23 Hancock St. Music: Russian Baths, Resilient, Vivienne Eastwood, Duh @ The Footlight New venue The Footlight opened last month and music lovers in the area swooned. Now they’re on with regular programming and shows several nights a week, including this Friday night concert with a headlining spot from rockers Russian Baths. The show goes from 8 p.m. to midnight and features four bands; tickets are $8. Footlight is located at 465 Seneca Ave. Saturday, Aug. 27 Community: Ridgewood Youthmarket The Ridgewood Youthmarket, run in partnership with Ridgewood Local Development Corporation and the Myrtle Avenue Business Improvement District, is now in its eighth season! Youth from Bushwick and Ridgewood come out to this lively market each Saturday to sell fresh fruits and vegetables purchased from Greenmarket Co. The market takes place every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Nov. 19 at Cypress and Myrtle avenues. Community: Community Garden Meeting @ Woodbine If you’re interested in helping to brainstorm about a community garden in Ridgewood, this event is for you. On Sunday, local fellow green thumbs are holding an open meeting discussing opportunities for building green spaces in the neighborhood. The meeting is free, starts at 2 p.m., and takes place at 1882 Woodbine St. Sunday, Aug. 28 Laughs: Stand Up Comedy @ Bridge & Tunnel Brewery The last Sunday night of the month, our fave local brewery hosts Stand Up Comedy and serves $5 drafts. Stop by to try one of their special summer brews, like the Sour Porter or the Berliner Weisse. If you’re not a drinker, don’t worry, they also have homemade black currant kombucha on tap! Clean up at Lather On’s Soapmaking Workshop, where you’ll use cold-process soapmaking to craft all-natural vegan bars. QED Astoria (27-16 23rd St., Astoria), 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27, $45. The brewery is open from 5 to 10 p.m. every Friday and is located at 15-35 Decatur St. Monday, Aug. 29 Cinema: Maysles Cinema Mondays presents This is Spinal Tap @ Nowadays Maysles Cinema in Manhattan has curated a fantastic a pop-up non-fiction film series at outdoor beer garden Nowadays all summer. This week’s edition features a screening of “This is Spinal Tap,” a documentary following one of England’s loudest bands on what proves to be a fateful tour, chronicled by film director Marty DeBergi.
