playground last week that claimed a
Ridgewood man’s life and injured two
other victims, police announced on
Monday, July 30.

Knickerbocker Avenue and Madison
Street, when the shots rang out.
According to a WPIX-TV report,
the bullets fl ew aft er the suspect and
a group of the victim’s friends got
into an argument. Law enforcement
sources familiar with the investigation
could not confi rm those details,
but noted that the victim and shooter
were not known to each other.
Police said that Cabrera-DeJesus
took a bullet to his back, while a
20-year-old man was shot in the
back and the left elbow, and another
20-year-old man suffered a graze
wound to his left forearm.

where he was pronounced dead. The
other victims were treated for their
injuries at Brookdale University

21 for another hearing related to
that case.
