JOHN M. HOENIGMANN of Ridgewood
died on Monday, January 22, at
the age of 75. A native of Gottschee,
Yugoslavia, he was the dear brother of
Joseph Hoenigmann, Erna Grupp, Marie
Niemiec and Martha Cichon. He is also
survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was off ered
at St. Matthias Church, Ridgewood, followed
by interment at Cypress Hills Cemetery,
Brooklyn, under the direction of

WALTER POUSCHE died on Monday,
January 22, at the age of 85. Born in Mitterdorf,
Gottschee, Austria, he was the brother
of the late Arnold. He is also survived
by several cousins residing in Austria
and Canada. Services will be off ered at

Linden Hill Cemetery, Ridgewood, under

ISMENA FERNANDEZ of Glendale
died on Sunday, January 21, at the age
of 92. A native of Ensenada, Puerto Rico,
she was the dear sister of Edna Fernandez,
Laura Pastor and Ismael Fernandez.
She is also survived by nine nieces and

Thursday, January 18, at the age of 96. She
was the wife of the late Alfredo Chaves,
loving mother of Elba Carmen, Argenta,
Irma, Athala and Alfredo, cherished
grandmother of Lisa, Patricia, Hugo,
Jorge, Michelle and the late Daniel and
great-grandmother of Johnathan, Isabel,
Elijah, Francesca, Caroline and Gabriela.

January 17, at the age of 71. He was
the husband of the late Agnes Ludwig,
loving father of Jen and Steve Lang, Karl
and Trish Ludwig, Kevin Ludwig, Kris
and Megan Ludwig and Keith and Kimberly
Ludwig, cherished grandfather of
Jake, Will, Charlie, Ryan and Jack and
dear brother of Carol Forde. He is also

and friends. He was a U.S. Navy veteran
and a retired NYPD patrolman. A Mass
