Sponsored by Councilman Paul Vallone and the Bayside Village Business Improvement District, the festive yuletide march began on the corner of 36th Avenue and Bell Boulevard. Hundreds marched in celebration of the season southbound along Bell Boulevard to the Bayside Long Island Rail Road station. There, the participants assembled and enjoyed performances by local children’s choirs of popular holiday hits. Vallone and others helped light both a holiday tree as well as a menorah near the stationhouse. Among the dignitaries who joined in the celebration were Queens Borough President Melinda Katz, Congresswoman Grace Meng and Mr. Met. Various school groups also participated including P.S. 31 and P.S. 41, St. Kevin’s and St. Andrew Avellino Schools and the Queens Dance Project.
