In an effort to funnel work frustrations mixed with the want to have a good time on a budget, Alora decided to rekindle a talent she picked up in middle school. After giving away various infinity scarves to friends for free, Alora realized people were enjoying her creations. Alora is looking to grow the brand beyond her inner circle and share it with the world. Lumpia Merienda Lumpia Merienda started with a mother’s Filipino eggrolls, or lumpias, and the voracious appetites gathered around the poker table every Friday night. Four friends are now bringing these addictive and crispy snacks to the masses at LIC Flea & Food, where they will fry up savory, sweet and vegetarian versions.
