Hillary, meanwhile, sat next to Queens County Democratic boss Joe Crowley at the Jackson Diner in Jackson Heights, to field an array of questions, mostly pertaining to Donald Trump. Speaking of Trump, Donald is in a race to not just win New York, but to run up the score as much as possible in order to avoid what many political pundits are now predicting as a potentially brokered Republican convention in July. Trump is trying to avoid that by racking up all of New York’s 95 delegates, which would require him to take 50 percent plus 1 of the vote in each of the state’s 27 congressional districts. The problem for Cruz and Kasich, frantically trying to get their bearings in the Big Apple, is that time is no longer on their side. Trump’s foregone victory in New York, and massive delegate prize, will only serve to bolster the crazy Queens native the following week when the Republican field competes in five Northeast primaries, contests that Trump is already favored to win. It’s amazing that virtually every political prognosticator predicted that Trump’s campaign was doomed from inception. What’s amazing to me is that those same talking heads are the ones responsible for his continuing success. And they still can’t resist calling him out for his political stunts, which Trump knows emboldens his supporters and spurs more to his corner every time. I’ve been to Hillary Clinton rallies before, as well as rallies and town halls for Sanders and Kasich. Trump’s rallies differ in that they are fueled by raw emotion and anger.
