North Shore Towers Courier n December 2015 21 December event honors two of North Shore Towers’ own Linda Rappaport Linda Rappaport is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the New York State Association of Realtors and the Long Island Board of Realtors. Her outstanding sales performance and acute understanding of the market along with her commitment to clients and her passion for her career, has made her an industry leader selling nearly $400 million in properties. Rappaport is a past president of the Women’s Council of Realtors, winning a “Women’s Council of Realtors Chapter Excellence Award.” She continues to play an active role in the organization, being awarded the “Member of the Year.” Living and working in the North Shore Towers community, Linda remains involved in many charitable organizations, including the American Cancer Society, United Jewish Appeal, Babes Zaharias and is an active member of the local chapter of Hadassah. She prides herself on living life by the golden rule. She is a devoted wife, proud mother, loving sister, daughter and soon to be proud grandmother. Power Women Long Island’s most influential businesswomen will be recognized during the Star Network’s “Power Women in Business” awards gala on Thursday night, Dec. 3, from 6 to 9 pm at Leonard’s Palazzo, located at 555 Northern Blvd. in Great Neck. The Power Women program recognizes influential women in businesses in Nassau and Suffolk counties whose achievements and participation helped to make a difference in the communities where they work and live. POURAN ESHGHI Pouran Eshghi, owner, operator, manager and president of Pouran Salon & Spa & Boutique, has been in business at North Shore Towers in Floral Park for 40 years. In 1963, she left her native Tehran, Iran—where she was trained as an actor at the University of Iran—and came to the United States, immediately finding work as a colorist for Cover Girl. She has become an expert in hair coloring and color correction. She opened her own salon at North Shore Towers several years after, later expanding to include a spa and boutique. Pouran is married to Kia, a world-renowned artist who also designed her spa, beauty salon and boutique. They have three children and three grandchildren.
