Howie mixes together a unique combination of musical imagination, ethnic integrity and simple, straightforward virtuosity that regularly leaves audiences begging for more! THURSDAY, DECEMBER 11TH, 2014 Bette Neuman Nassau County Museum of Art NEW DEAL ART of THE GREAT DEPRESSION 7:30 PM – VIP Room The WPA created by FDR during the Great Depression, employed 5,000 artists who produced 225,000 works of art for the American people. Revisit those days through images of people and places of that time. View selections of work done by young WPA painters who went on to become greats of the 20th century. Bette Neuman, a docent at the Nassau County Museum of Art will bring a variety of New Deal images and interesting stories to go with them.
