Sheila Vass, NST PAC Member and an authority on Board of Election procedures was the presenter. A large number of residents attended the workshop. Each attended was given a package containing, Abstracts of each of the three proposals, General election candidates lists and a Sample general election ballot. A spirited Q and A discussion followed. On Tuesday, November 4, residents were waiting from 5:30AM for the polls to open at 6AM and the last voters hurried in a few minutes before the polls closed at 9PM. During most of the day the lines were very long. The number of voters was probably the largest amount for a non-Presidential election. During the past year and a half the NST PAC has hosted at least three political leaders each month at Round Table Meetings and/or Meet-and-Greets. Residents heard from them and came to the polls to “talk back.” Felice Hannah, Board of Directors Political Action Chairperson OCT 31 Maid in Floral Park Mary Ann Langone Linda Rappaport and her sister, Sheila Goldich
