Much time and effort is expended by the committee in making the initial contact with our new residents, as well as during the follow ups, which may take place several months later. At the new residents cocktail party last month, (from l-r) Arnie Cammeyer, New Member Chairman, Herb Greenberg, Towers Men’s Golf Association President, and Bruce Savid, Board Member and Country Club Chairman. The purpose of this initial contact is to make sure the new residents receive a warm welcome and give them the opportunity to ask any questions that they may have regarding life at North Shore Towers. New residents will learn about the cocktail party so that they can look forward to receiving the formal invitation to meet their neighbors when the date of the party approaches. The committee also uses this first contact to ensure that the residents have been made aware of the special offers and coupons that were included in the green folders they received from the real estate agents at the closing of their apartments. After this initial contact is made, follow ups will start to occur as the cocktail party approaches. These parties are held twice a year, usually in October and May. They serve as a platform for our new neighbors to meet and mingle with each other, as well as with the board and staff of North Shore Towers and Country Club. It is a great opportunity for new shareholders to see and hear first-hand everything that they can look forward to experiencing in their new homes. Our last cocktail party in October was a huge success. There was a great turnout of new residents and a fun time was had by all. The New Member Committee would like to thank everyone for attending and is open to any helpful suggestions from our new members that may improve the experience in the future.
