The Towers Restaurant

As with just about everything
these days, there
have been changes at the
Towers Restaurant over these past
months. But that hasn’t stopped its
proprietor, Buffy, from doing all she
can to accommodate North Shore
Towers’ residents.
Before dining was permitted
inside in NYC, tents were set up
outside for dining “al fresco.” Now
that it’s gotten too cold to enjoy a
hot meal outdoors, the tents have
been removed. Indoor dining is
now allowed at 25% capacity.
“The restaurant already has a
top-quality filtration system,” Buffy
said, “but we want our customers to
feel relaxed and extra secure, so we’ve
also ordered several air purifiers.”
The purifiers have medical-grade
HEPA filters and will be placed in
a number of spots throughout the
restaurant. In addition, in order to
maintain the required capacity, Buffy
is utilizing Towers on the Green to
accommodate additional diners.
“The Towers is now open regularly
for dinner,” Buffy said.
"I have to commend Buffy, Spiros,
Angelo and all of their employees for
continuing to provide uninterrupted
food service to our residents during
this difficult time," said General
Manager Glen Kotowski. "The
Towers Restaurant and all of our
Arcade vendors need the support
of our residents now more than ever
so that they may survive to continue
to provide the services our residents
have been known to enjoy."
Thanksgiving will be here before
we know it and Buffy has been
planning. “We will be offering a
special Thanksgiving menu,” she
said, and explained that Towers
residents will have options. “Diners
can have dinner here or next door
at Towers on the Green,” she
said, “or we’ll deliver Thanksgiving
dinner directly to residents’ apartments.”
You can’t get much more
convenient than that! The menu
wasn’t finalized by press time, but
it will be ready soon, so be on the
lookout.
