NST’s Babes & Guys Walk the Course
2019 Cancer Charity Season Wraps Up
BY JILL DAVIS
North Shore Towers concluded
its 2019 charity
work for Babes & Guys
Against Cancer on Sunday,
October 6. Approximately 40
NST residents signed up, and
most ventured out despite the
chilly, overcast day. Walkers
had their choice of either the
“short” or “long” walk, which
raised money for this critically
important organization. Participants
donated $20 each toward
the cause.
Organizer Phyllis Goldstein
explained, “This is our third
year doing the walk. October is
Breast Cancer Awareness Month,
and this is the culmination of the
season’s charity events.” Judy Lev
noted, “Every year it gets bigger
and bigger.”
She also noted that when last
year’s Babes & Guys total contributions
were added up, North
Shore Towers ranked sixth out of
the 30 Long Island golf clubs that
participated. Readers will remember
that this past summer’s big
Babes & Guys event took in well
over $40,000—with enthusiasm
like that, it’s a good bet that North
Shore Towers will once again be
among the top-ranking contributors
this year. Thank you to all
who donated! Photos by Dawn

Isn’t there a shortcut?
Almost home!
A little sustenance is necessary!
Don’t get lost out there!
And they’re off!
