Spotlight on NST Camera Club
BY LEO TUJAK
Members of the NST Camera
Club are all amateur
photographers who get
together on the first and third
Mondays of each month to trade
ideas, inspiration, experiences
and information, as well as discuss,
display, enter and sell (when
it happens) our work. Our membership
consists of varying levels
of “expertise,” from neophyte to
hobbyist and beyond. We are not
a competitive club, even though
we do critique our photos and occasionally
have outside “judges”
come in. NST residents have probably
seen our photos on display
in various locations throughout
the Arcade and in the Coleridge
lounge. We hope you enjoy them!
If you are interested in photography
or the Camera Club, please
contact our president, Dawn
Steinberg, @ 718-229-1448 or
myself, Leo Tujak (Club Treasurer),
@ 347-408-4377. Annual dues are
$25 per year, per person, or $45 per
year, per couple.

“The photo of the Tower Bridge was taken on a land tour of England,
Wales & Scotland.”
—Leo Tujak
“This calla lily is from the Hicks
flower show… Photography is
capturing images your eyes see,
which you do not wish to forget.”
—Jane Tujak
“Last summer, we took a trip to
Costa Rica. I managed to shoot
more than 900 pictures, many, as
typical for me, ended up in the
trash bin. Some, however, were
my stars! Here is one I particularly
like.”
“Many of us do
not take time to
admire and cherish
the real beauty of
fallen snow without
venturing beyond
our environment.”
—Kathryn Bitetti
—Judy Paris
“From my recent trip to
Galápagos Islands, 600 miles off
the coast of Ecuador, a pristine
location unlike any other place
in the world, inhabited by many
species found nowhere else.”
—Dawn Steinberg
“As I sailed on ‘Wind Spirit’ from Papeete to
Moorea to Bora Bora, I found myself humming
the score of the Broadway musical ‘South
Pacific.’”
