Special Concert Offering for NST Residents
Landmark on Main Street in
Port Washington is hosting
a special concert by
virtuoso pianist John Bayless on
Saturday April 27, 2019, at 8 p.m.
Bayless had been concertizing
all over the world when a stroke
left him isolated from the musical
life he’d always known. Now, he’s
back! Bayless has put together an
inspirational and humorous oneman
show with writer/director
and a Towers resident, Stewart
M. Schulman.
The theater on Main Street will
present this world-renowned concert
pianist, composer and recording
artist’s triumphant return to the
stage in the world premiere of “One
Hand, One Heart,” Bayless’s new
one-man show, featuring music by
Gershwin, Bernstein, Puccini and
Mancini, to name a few. Bayless
will take the audience on the amazing
journey of his life through his
music—from the highs and lows
of his early career to his “second
act,” returning to performing after
his debilitating stroke.
The evening is sponsored by
Paula Kaminsky Davis and Angela
Jaggar, and will be performed in
the Jeanne Rimsky Theater. Guest
artists include singer Mia Pinero
and dancer Meredith Fages of Heidi
Latsky Dance, plus a few other surprises.
A film crew will be recording
the performance as part of a feature
length documentary, titled “Left
Alone,” which will share John’s
inspiring true story. Watching his
spirit transcend great adversity,
John’s journey back to the concert
stage represents the highest form
of human strength and inspiration.
North Shore Towers residents
are being offered a discount for the
performance. Tickets are on sale
