For a modest $35 per 8x10 foot lot, the Garden Club offers residents the opportunity to satisfy their green thumbs. Adjacent lots can be purchased and combined for the more adventurous planter and members can grow vegetables or flowers. Any resident can join and there are approximately 64 available lots, located in the Westgate area of the property. The Garden Club can also prepare your lot with weeding, fertilizer and a protective tarp for an additional fee. The tarp helps prevent weed growth and keeps the soil moist after watering. There are ample water hoses and a storage trunk on site to hold shovels, rakes and other gardening implements, with some members keeping smaller items, like spades, in containers they store in the trunk. The Club also holds a catered barbecue in July.
