18 North Shore Towers Courier n April 2015 Migdal Chapter Of Hadassah Launches 2015 Chai Society Campaign The Migdal Chapter of Hadassah announces the launch of it 2015 Chai Society Campaign. The Chai Society is a low cost Hadassah gift club. Donors pledge $180 or $360 a year, which can be paid automatically through a small monthly charge to a credit card, or by an annual check. According to Treasurer Zona Schreiber, “The Chai Society Campaign got off to a good start in 2014, which was a banner fund raising year for Migdal. We raised more money last year than in any year since our Chapter was reborn in 2005. We owe our success to our community’s generosity in providing major gifts, small donations, anonymous donations, commemorative gifts and supporting fund raising events.” The funds raised by the Chai Society provide steady support to Hadassah’s cutting edge medical research and medical care in Israel and around the world. Hadassah Medical Organization is making amazing advances in stem cell research which promises to treat and cure diseases affecting more than 100 million Americans. These diseases include Alzheimer’s, ALS, cancer, macular degeneration, Parkinson’s, spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries Co-President Eva Kessner emphasized that “the Migdal Board is committed to enrolling as many Chai Society members as possible from among its Hadassah members and also from the North Shore Towers community at large.
