Erin Lagano
EGC Group, a Melville
based integrated
marketing agency,
hired Lagano as
associate creative director.
She previously
worked at EGC Group
as a graphic designer,
worked her way up to art director,
joined another agency, and became a
“boomerang” employee who left and
returned to the company.
Marc Soto
Pronto of Long Island,
Inc., the nonprofit
outreach center
whose main mission
is to feed the hungry
and clothe the needy,
named Soto as its new
director. He has a law degree from the
University of Nebraska and an extensive
background in diversity and inclusion,
training and development and general
law practice.
Danielle Mount
EGC Group promoted
Mount to graphic
designer. Originally
hired as a production
artist in 2019, she has
become proficient in
learning and mastering
a variety of software products and
tools for print, digital, and video. Mount
works on a wide range of projects social
media promos and campaigns for many
EGC clients, which she finds “creative,
fun and challenging.”
Benjamin “Jay”
Demetriou
Lorraine Gregory
Corporation, a Brentwood
based integrated
marketing agency,
prompted Demetriou
to the title of president. He has occupied
the vice president, chief of operations
role for years and expertly manages
not only the people in his charge but
the overall well-being of the company.
He has been directly responsible for
melding three acquired companies into
one cohesive unit.
Tina Zhen
EGC Group promoted
Zhen to account supervisor.
She joined
EGC Group in 2014 as
an account manager.
Tina’s time at EGC
gives her the opportunity
to handle many different facets of
marketing in the transition away from
traditional media.
Robert Larocca
SterlingRisk Insurance,
one of the
nation’s top independently
owned insurance
brokerages,
promoted Larocca
to chief strategic
relations officer. Larocca, who began
his career at SterlingRisk in 1999 and
enjoys strong ties throughout the insurance
community, will retain his title of
executive vice president and continue
to report directly to SterlingRisk CEO
David Sterling.
Courtney Hanusch
EGC Group hired
Hanusch as a marketing
analyst. She
previously managed
social media for The
Leukemia & Lymphoma
Society and went
on to pursue a Master
of Business Administration at Hofstra
University. She first joined the EGC team
as an MBA intern on the digital media
team in 2020.
Majid Ali Mahmood
Mahmood was hired
as an architect with
Woodbury-based
D&B Engineers and
Architects. He is a
graduate of New York
Institute of Technology
with a B.S. in Architecture. Prior
to D&B Engineers and Architects he
worked as an Architectural Technician/
Assistant Project Manager at Swartz
Architecture, D.P.C. in Poughkeepsie.
