Summer time is tennis time. Roosevelt Island Racquet Club is the perfect
place to learn – easy to reach by tram, subway, ferry or car.
If you’ve ever wished you knew how to play tennis, now’s the time! Roosevelt Island
Racquet Club (RIRC) makes it easy for beginners and slightly-experienced players to
learn and enjoy—starting with your first time on the courts. Here’s what our “Adult
Beginner’s Tennis Academy” has to offer.

FRIDAY NIGHT BEGINNERS MIXER
Kick off the weekend on the courts, with a night
of playing and learning! We will pair you up for fun
competition at your level.
8-10pm organized social play--we’ll help with
pointers and instruction
10-11pm stay another hour and play free with
your new tennis friends
GROUP LESSONS
Join us for hour-long group lessons that fit your
summer schedule.
Tuesdays, 8-9pm/Sundays, 3-4pm – available as
individual classes or opt for a discounted package

Mondays, 9:30-10:30pm /
Thursdays, 10-11pm—perfect for night owls!
