On Nov. 1, local child performers,
Unicorn Jazz children’s book series
author Lisa Caprelli and Hindi’s Libraries
teamed up to give away books
to Highbridge Elementary students.
Jolie Rose Wasserman, a 14-year-old
singer and actor said that she was
thrilled to see the students so happy.
At the give-away, Caprelli spoke about
“each one of us being unique, different
and having something to share with
the world.”

Apartments celebrated
State and local offi cials celebrated
the completion of Arthur Avenue
Apartments, a $91 million affordable
housing development, Oct. 18. The 177-
unit supportive development serves
seniors in Belmont, and is sustainably
designed with a greenhouse, garden
and teaching kitchen. “We’ve created
an outdoor oasis for people to really enjoy
life, to feel safe and dignifi ed,” said
Daniel Reingold, president and CEO of
RiverSpring Living. “And that is the
way that it should be. We’re so proud
of this moment and this opportunity
to help older New Yorkers who need a
safe place to call home.”
