BANTAMS
This week Spot On were
missing two of their lead scorers,
but played like the warriors
they are. Dominic Ventola
and Layla Acalade held an
iron clad defense along with
Aiden & Nicholas Camino.
Nicolette Donovan was a monster
in the mid fi eld position.
Aaron Piparo scored one goal,
and Madelyn Perrino had an
assist to Julianna Mosca for
one of her two goals. Final
score was 3 - 1 Spot on as the
victor!
MINORS
Global Container had a
battle this week, they were
down four players, leaving
them with one sub. The team
showed that they would not
back down despite the lack
of players. Richie Guarnieri
played a strong offense,
along with Lauren Esposito,
who had one assist to Frankie
Mosca, who had an impressive
3 goal game. Irvin Ruiz
also had a goal and an assist.
Ethan Hurtado played an
amazing defense along with
Hunter and Autumn Feurst.
Mallory Ventola, Grace Abraham
and Conor Guarnieri
also held them at defense, giving
Global Container the 4 - 0
win.
St. Benedict’s were 2-1 winners
over Brewski’s. The defense
returned to form with
outstanding play by Alessandra
Romeo, Isabella Bondi,
and Wint Kennedy. The midfi
eld was controlled by Angelina
Rodriguez, Sophia Cifu,
and James Addario. James
scored both goals, the fi rst
came from a great shot from
the left wing and the second
off a perfectly placed penalty
kick. Offensively, Danielle
Shack, Joseph Balbona, Jason
D’Agostino, and Viviana Romeo
constantly kept pressure
on Brewski’s. Great win heading
into a by week.
On October 12th, a young
Dr. Ken Gonoud Team took
the fi eld against Patrick
Wynne Atty. Offensively the
Gonoud’s were led by Justin
Bell, Donato Marrone, (Birthday
girl) Giuliana Valenza
and Mckenna Delatore. Midfi
elders, Jacob Melendez, Lucas
Torres,Victoria Mineiro,
Eric Vega assisted in moving
the ball up to the offensive
front. Defensively, Dr. Gonoud
provided a solid stance. Led
by Annabella Delatore, the
defense made several plays
that kept Patrick Wynne off
the score board. Defensively,
Eve Searles, Isabella Rosado,
Edona Mulliqi, and Madison
Rodriguez added to the defensive
scheme in the game. Patrick
Wynne was able to score
one goal in he half and managed
to add an uncontested
goal in the beginning of the
second half. Striker, Justin
bell made it interesting by
scoring in the 15th minute
of the second half and making
the score 2-1. First Year
Goalie, Victor Rivera made
several outstanding stops
but a quick uncontested second
half goal was too much
to overcome. The fi nal score
was 2-1 Patrick Wynne. Offensively
the Gonoud’s had several
offensive opportunities
but just could not execute on
some open netters to tie. The
young Gonoud’s are always
in the game...better results
are very near. Great effort
by everyone, Coach is very
proud to see the development
of the team. Upcoming week
on October 19th,Dr. Gonoud
will meet up against Kaseman
Chiropractor at 11am at
Cintron Field. Coach and the
team wants to wish their very
own Striker, Giuliana Valenza
a very Happy Birthday!!!
