SENATOR JAMAAL BAILEY HOSTS CARIBBEAN PARADE
SIXTH ANNUAL BOOGIE ON THE BOULEVARD EVENT
The sixth annual ‘Boogie on the Boulevard - Fun and Fitness in the Bronx’ took place on Sunday, September 15 along Grand Concourse. A one-mile stretch of Grand Concoure included
different block themes for the event, including fi tness, back to school, Bronx culture, toddlers, arts and the #NOT62 campaign effort. Collaboraters for the event included BronxWorks,
Community Health Center.

Senator Jamaal Bailey hosted his second annual Unions and Caribbean celebration parade. The parade started on 238th Street and Nereid Avenue and continued down along White
Plains Road to P.S. 41. The event featured the vibrant colors and culture found in the Caribbean, as well as labor leaders and union members. Following the parade, there were a series of
performances and presentations at P.S 41. The year’s honorees included 47th Precinct police offi cer Michael Chin, Michelle Sajous from Riverbay Corporation, David Caraballoso from CCA
Metro and community activist Patricia Williams..
