 Highly talented 52-year-old Hope Center resident Roberto Cortes is one of 13 New York statewide winners of this year’s ‘Art From the Heart’ contest. 
 The contest, organized each year by the Foundation for Quality Care (FQC) and the NYS Health Facilities Association/NYS Center for Assisted Living (NYSHFA/NYSCAL) visually measures  
 artistic capabilities of residents at nursing homes and rehabilitation centers across NYS.

 ‘Community and Family Day’ on Saturday, August 31 which brought families together for a  
 day of summer fun. 
 Pelham  Parkway Neighborhood Association delivered  another  batch  of  used  eye  glasses  
 collected  for  charity  to  the  Bronx  Lions  Club  on  Wednesday,  September  4  at  F  &  J  Pine  
 Restaurant. 
 Councilman  Mark  Gjonaj  was  glad  to  meet  
 with residents of Silver Beach at their Family  
 Day celebration.
