Approximately 205 apprentices graduated from the NYC District Council of Carpenters’ apprenticeship program on Friday, June 21. Members of the graduating class who come from all
fi ve boroughs and the tri-state area, will now be full members of eight local unions including Millwrights, Dock Builders/Timbermen, Floor Layers, High Rise Concrete Carpenters and
general Carpenter trades.

In honor of its third annual Laundry Project Tour, Current Initiatives washed thousands of loads for Bronxites at Clean and Green Laundromat on Saturday, June 15 at 3391 Boston Road.

The Perez Family hosted the grand opening of Modern Fresh Market at Tremont Renaissance on Friday, June 28. Opening day celebrations included a DJ, raffl es, prizes, complimentary
face paintings and opportunities for shoppers to sample an assortment of products from local suppliers.
